Lid to Ultrex slow cooker suddenly exploded in the sink

The lid to the Ultrex 6.375 qt. oval slow cooker Model 08326 exploded in the sink. The parts were cooled and were resting in the sink waiting to be hand washed. When filling the cermaic insert the lid sitting next to the oval insert suddenly exploded into thousands of peices. No water was touching the lid nor anything else. Innova, Inc. is out of business and I need to find a place the get a replacement. Can I still get a lit for this model or will I have to scrap a perfectly good appliance? Thanks in advance.

My lid also exploded. I had just removed the ceramic insert, placed it on my table on a hot pad, removed my ham, replaced the lid and all of a sudden glass shards from the the entire edge/rim became air borne. The ham was ruined. I am not sure which specific product is mine, it held a 7 lbs ham just perfectly. My lid states: USA 18

    My ceramic insert: D 256762299

I can not locate my book to determine how to replace the lid?

I had the same problem but the slow cooker was cleaned and sitting out waiting for me to put it away. My wife and I heard a pop and found the lid shattered

My lid to my Ultrex slow cooker shattered when I placed it in the dishwasher. The dishwasher hadn't even run a cycle when I heard the burst of glass as my lid shattered into pieces. I can't help but wonder if placing the lid on the side is what caused the break? I'd like to find a replacement lid.

Mine too exploded - but it was sitting on the crockpot on the counter and had not been touched since the day before. The force was such that the top handle was blown off onto the counter. It was not hot or even plugged in.

    Really, really strange............

Our oval lid exploded shortly after a temperature cycle. It had been hot and then allowed to cool off to about 10C, 50F. Then it was brought into our home, 20C, 70F. Within 1 minute, the lid exploded where it was sitting. Upon closer examination, I suspect the unforgiving nature of glass to have failed due to the pressure of the steel screw attaching the lid handle to the lid. There was no pressure relieving washer present. The one that exploded is a Betty Crocker but we have a second crock with an exactly similar lid, Rival brand. If you googled for either in the country you live in, you should be able to persue a replacement.

Why is it so hard to find where I can buy a replacement crock pot insert for my rival ScvP600. It has a crack in it. Is it like a timex, where I should just throw it all away after a few uses?

I was starting my meal on top of the stove in the crock pot and the crock pot broke and spilled everything. Can I get a new replacement pot?

The recalled 8 qt ultrex ll pressure cooker model # 11302c will the lid come off on its own or does it just not lock while under pressure?

Halt, do not use this pressure cook. The lid is suspose to lock. This means the lid become a dangerous fly object if it came off under pressure, plus extremely hot boiling water and the contents of the pressure cooker. Beside possible dying from the lid, and if one survives the flying lid, one will be will scalded by the contents of the pressure cooker. Another pressure cooker manufactured in China.
