Computer wont reconize mp3 player

I'm running Windows ME and I just purchased a Nextar MA566 Mp3 player.
I plug it in to the USB and it wont reconize it as an external Drive. what should I do? any help would be greatly appreciated.

    yeah it works on an XP computer, but that driver still wont work

    when I search for a drive it says the best know one is C:\WINDOWS\INF\USB.INF but that doesn't make it work

    I plug in my rio nitrus but my computer (Windows Vista) will not reconize it. I have tried downloading drivers and still nothing. Help!!!!

I think u need a driver software for ur plyer

connect the plyer to win xp and say whether is detecting or not . if its detecting i xp definitely u need a driver in me . nextar is only providing driver for win 98 use the driver from link provided above

Computer cannot detect mp3 player


If the level of infection by the virus is high, you can try repairing the OS by using the OS cd. You wont loose any installed program if repaired. But the virus will be in dead state after repairing. Then install a good anti virus and do a computer scan. This is the best way to get ride of severely infected virus. The problem you have can be because the virus may have corrupt the mp3 player's exe file

Reads "No File" even thought there are files on it.


I just had the same problem. Go back to your menu, make sure you are on your play music icon and instead of clicking on the center button with play and pause on it click on the menu button again to make it access the folder. You should see the word music come up across the screen once it's chosen.

Cant recognized on XP


If you are using an USB extension or an USB external hub, get rid of it.

Try plugging the MP3 to a different USB port.

Try unplugging AC charger, and removing laptop batter for ten minutes, sometimes this can fix problems caused by accumulation of electrostatic charges on USB controller.

If that does not solve the problem, test a different USB device on the same laptop, and test the MP3 on a different computer. Either one may be faulty.

If the problem is the laptop you may fix it by removing and reinstalling USB root hub on hardware devices in Control Panel.

this means the driver isnt installed for the device.
first, try plugging it in, then goto my computer and look for 'removable device' that is where you will access the mp3's.
If all else fails, google 'nextar mp3 player driver'
