Zen v plus will not power on

I HAVE A ZEN V PLUS 1GB THAT WILL NOT POWER ON. THE PC DOES NOT RECONIZED IT. I CAN HEAR THE PC CLICK WHEN I PLUG IT INTO THE PC, BUT MY COMPUTER DOES NOT SHOW IT, NOR THE SYS TRAY.

- THE UNIT DOES NOT POWER ON AT ALL. I TRIED IT IN DIFFERENT USB PORTS ALSO ON MY LAPTOP.

try another usb port, try ac power charger and if none of those work you can take it apart and see if the usb connector is solder good

Try plugging it in to a USB port and then perform a reset. It worked for me. Doing it in that order worked but if I tried doing one or the other.... no worky.

Start in recovery mode (hold down play).
Select reload firmware.
Download the latest firmware from support.creative.com.
Plug the player into the computer, and reinstall firmware.

i used a staple bullet, bend it straight, then poke it to the reset button while the MP3 player is connected to the PC

it works to me

My Zen V Plus wouldn't turn on, even with the battery fully charged. Creative site had some suggestions, one of which was to plug it into a USB port on your computer, use a paper clip in the reset hole, then try and power it up. It worked for mine.
