a short while ago my sandisk m2 4gb stoped working, my cellphone (sony ericcson k800i) as well as my computer can't see the card, there are some pictures on it from my vacation and really want them back,
thanks in advance
Your card has most likely become damaged or corrupted and you will need a data recovery application to try and pull the pictures off of it. I recommend the programs from http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-products.htm I have been using them for years with great results.
What you will want to do it get a product like GetDataBack for FAT V4.00 assuming your sandisk card has a fat file system (Which it should). Once you have your recovery app installed you will then load your card into the card reader and plug it into your computer. Open up your recovery app and it should allow you select the card reader or the card itself. The recovery app will then do a low level scan of your card and attempt to pull any data it can from it. This process is honestly hit or miss, but it is really the only chance you have at home for recovering data.
If this fails and you really want your data back there are recovery companies like On Track that you can pay to retrieve your data. They have VERY good odds of getting your data back, but their prices are a bit high.

I have a 2GB Olympus xD Memory card that I bought for a digital picture frame. When I pulled it out of the package I stuck it in the computer to download the 800MB of pictures on to the card. When it would download about 325 MB of pictures it would not accept anymore pictures on the card. It said there was an error transferring the pics from the computer to the card. Any suggestions?

I have an IBM 200/400GB LTO tape drive (ibm # 59P6744) and my current LTO tape cartridges work but when I try to put in a brand new LTO tape cartridge it gives me a error ''unrecognizable media has been found'' and wil not let me use it. I have tried different brand of tapes and the exact same tapes as I use know and both give me the same errors. Why would my lto drive let me know use my existing tapes but not any new ones. Thank Andy
