I have a ge gtd 120 home theatre surround sound.for some reason, my volume is stuck on one level.. I haven't had a remote for it for a while, just used the knob to adjust the volume.someone plz help!

Unless the system has some kind of automatic volume control on it, that can only be adjusted by the remote. I think you might have a faulty volume/tone control circuit. These days many amps have a single IC that will control the volume. If that goes the volume can get stuck on one level. Since the control knob you are turning is simply sending a signal to that IC. So if the IC has died the signal is not being received.
If you want to repair it yourself just follow the wires back to the board from the volume control. You should see a large multi pin black box that if your lucky is marked on the board volume control.

Sansui platinum plus tv

Hi,
Are you using a remote control or the switches on the TV?

If using a remote;
First turn the TV off at the power point then wait for 10 seconds.
Then turn the TV back on
Then attempt top adjust the volume using the manual settings on the side or bottom of your TV, if that works then you may have a remote that either needs new batteries or does not work.?
Can you turn the TV on and Off with the remote control?
Can you change channels with the remote control?
If you can do both the above it would appear that the remote is working OK.

Does this fix the problem?

I have a m&s home audio/intercom system. It periodically and on it's own raises the volume to max (level 32). It is as if the volume up button is stuck (which it does not appear to be). I have...

If it uses any sort of wireless remote, it may be that another user in the house is using a TV remote on the exact same frequency as yours, or even your neighbor's garage door remote could trigger it.

I cannot get the volume to go up or down...it is stuck at one level. I have just replaced the battery, and all other functions work fine. The remote is about 2yrs old.

If you have other (Universal) remotes in your home try programming one of them to operate your Bose.I have a different Bose system for my TV and can operate the on/off and volume from my universal remote. The code I use is 440, I show another code of 302 that may work.

Have an Hitachi 60sx12b. the sound meter bar stays on. can manually adjust the sound up but will go back down to 0. tv remote or sat. remote doesn't work at all. Please help

Hi,
It sounds either volume down button is bad that turns volume down on its own or system control chip got defective and decreasing volume level.
Press volume down button on tv front and check is it working properly.
Let me know to find out further info to solve the issue.
Thanks.

Need to use remote to change volume

this aiwa equipment failure is common, is that the contacts within the volume botton causing misreading get dirty when going up or down the volume. you have two options the first is to buy the button or pull it out and clean it is not difficult. bye

Tv ws-65511 volume stuck

Did you ever get this problem fixed? Ours just started doing the same thing. It worked fine the night before, but today it's doing what yours is doing. The remote stopped working for the TV. The remote still works for the cable box, but volume and anything related to TV function not. The screen flashes when we try to adjust volume or anything else, but resets to previous volume. TV not responding to any commands either on the front panel or remote.
Any ideas? Thanks, Patti
