Re: memory card error
Do one thing. as per canons manual: if any error is displayed when using your memory card do a low level formating of memory card. but what to do for pictures in it? get a memory card reader from market. its very cheap. its also advisable to use memory card reader to transfer your photos rather than using direct connectiin to computer. after doing a low level formating then transfer photos inside memory card from system, put it in ur camera, then enjoy. hope you are clear with your problem. please give a feedback.

can have different causes. To many pictures on the memory card card is full. From the last picture file name ends with 999 or 9999.
Or there was an error while writing a picture to the memory card, caused by a power failure.
I would put the card in an external memory card reader and try to put all pictures in a folder on the computer. Then format the card FAT 32 or FAT 16 and then put it back in the camera. When switched on, first format the card again, in the camera, to make sure the camera can work with the card and the format.
A card access error may indicate that an xD-Picture Card memory card is in a write-protected condition. xD-Picture Card memory cards have a special protection feature to ensure that your pictures are kept safe.
During this condition, you can still use the printer for printing and saving photos from the xD-Picture Card to a secure location, such as the computer hard drive.
To resolve this error, try the following:
Reinsert the xD-Picture Card memory card into your camera and turn on the camera. In most cases, the camera automatically makes the necessary changes.
Reformat the xD-Picture Card memory card. See the documentation that came with your camera for instructions on reformatting the memory card. Note that this process erases the pictures currently saved to your memory card. To save these pictures, transfer them to the computer before reformatting the memory card. Once you reformat the memory card, transfer those photos back to the memory card using the computer.
