Question about Sharp VL-A45 8mm Analog Camcorder
The camcorder will not eject the cassett. The door will open but the tape will not eject.
SOURCE: Cassette holder does not close
Try inserting another tape first. If the trouble is still there,Defective mechanism, a stucked mechanism is present. camcorder are smart it can detects error and shuts down itself for safety. earlier models dominoes the defect if the user is not quick enough to react when something goes wrong with the camera. You need professional service to fix it.

May be a stupid suggestion but check the slide lock on the cartridge to make sure it is in the record position.
'Night vision' is a term applied too loosely; it originally referred to the original 'starlight' scope that uses a special tube capable of actually amplifying light particles (photons). More recently, the phrase has been applied to devices capable of 'seeing' into the infra-red spectrum. Since too much IR sensitivity affects the quality of any digital camera, the sensors are normally designed to be less sensitive to that wavelength.
The fact that none of the specifications mentions the minimum usable light level is bothersome. Most digital cameras (and camcorders) have 2-3 lux ratings which is not in the category of 'night vision' at all.

SOURCE: Cassette wont play keep getting
this is caused by a malfunction in the tape drive of the unit, a part might be missing, out of place or the drive might be getting stuck.
to correct the problem the unit would need to be taken apart and the drive inspected cleaned, possibly some gears might need lubrication (the type of lubrication that is used in VCR's and other such units) there are many areas to grease and oil. For the inexperienced person the easiest way to find out where to lubricate is to spot the old grease on the mechanisms. Most grease from the factory is either blue or white. All you have to do is give these areas a little dab of fresh grease. Don't over do it. Sometimes to much grease can cause problems,it may smear onto the rubber parts Creating slippage, then you have to go through the process of removing all the grease and that is not easy.
for grease you can use machine lubrication oil if you can find that locally or something similar to this:
the service is quite complex it may be best to take it to a repairer if you feel this is too much. The above is not a guarantee fix, there may be other issues in the drive that we don't know about at this point.
