Anti-theft system is engaging. If this is the problem try this: Place key in ignition , make sure all doors are closed, unlock the locks (via lock switch) from driver side. If this doesnt work, try the same method with ignition @ ON. Hopefully this helps

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE CAR IS IN THEFT MODE, IN OTHER WORDS THE ALARM IS GOING OFF AND THE SIREN UNDER THE HOOD IS DISCONNECTED. YOU MAY NEED TO CONSULT A DEALER FOR THE PROPER SEQUENCE FOR DISARMING PROCEDURES. I HOPE THIS HAS HELPED YOU. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA. BEST OF LUCK. IF YOU NEED MORE HELP, PLEASE ASK.

Your battery may be dead or your distributor should be changed out. It should be near the alternator.

Car made weird noises and then shut off while driving now wont even turn over

If the engine wont turn over after weird noises you may have seized the engine from over heating or lack of oil. Check for water in the radiator and oil in the sump. and if you are missing either then a replacement engine is the go

I just changed the O2 sensor and now the engine wont even turn over? any pointers?

I would check the starter for voltage, and make sure the crank can be turned by hand.

When trying to crank engine just clicks like dead battery but cluster panel flashes making chirping noises & lidhts still are strong. gauges will go from 0 to fill strenght except charging needle. sems...

First check your battery cables and connections to make sure they are clean and tight. If they are, i think you should try getting a boost. The starter takes more power than everything else put together. Although your headlights are bright, the battery may still be too low to turn the engine.

98 chev blazer wont start or make any noises...

Listen for a click from under the steering column when you turn the key on. If you hear no electrical click then your ignition switch could be bad. If you hear an electrical click the you starter soleniod is bad.

Abs light flashing sometimes, engine not starting sometimes

Are you absolutely sure it is the ABS light that is flashing?

Also, to confirm descriptions, when you state that when you try to turn it back on you get "nothing, doesn't even crank" are you saying there is no click for the starter relay, no starter engagement, and the engine doesn't spin over?

Your description of the noise when you turn the truck off sounds a bit like the sound a muffled backfire might make. Maybe the truck is running really right, but that wouldn't explain the ABS light flashing. It could explain the Check Engine Light (CEL) flashing as running rich enough to backfire would be an emissions issue which would cause a flashing CEL.

I have a 2001 GMC Yukon. It was running fine until two days ago. I went to start it on Saturday and it would only make a clicking noise. I was able to start it with jumper cables. I drove for an hour...

i had the same exact problem with my chevy s-10, but once i replaced the battery it ran fine no problem, u may have fried some circuits and relays while jumping the car, and alot of times that clicking noise is your relay burning out, did your car start doing weird things too? like ejecting cd's, flashing lights really fast and weird noises?

My car wont start and it keeps making a clicking noise but the lights and radio turn on.

If the headlights dim when you try to crank the enging the problem will be the starter motor jamming. If they remain bright you can suspect the starter soleniod or wiring but as it is making a clicking noise, I would look at the solenoid first.
