Your blower motor is probably not working. enter the troubleshooting mode by pressing and holding my cycles and help at the same time for 3 seconds. this will tell you the problem. if blower is not getting up to speed you'll have to replace it.

Hello, I'm having problems with my dryer. I have a GE Profile Harmony Dryer and its not drying like it should, I have to run the cycle 4 or 5 times for it to get hot and dry the clothes... It also has...

The first thing to do is ensure that the outlet air vent is not clogged with lint, socks, or other obstructions. It may be clogged at a point outside the dryer, so you might have to move the dryer out of the way, then use a flashlight and mirror to look into the vent.

If it is not clogged, then the problem is likely the heating element or heat sensor.

Good luck!

My GE Profile Harmony dryer won't dry. The drum is turning but the clothes just won't dry. Circuit breaker is not tripped.

Frequently there's an obstruction in the vent duct from the dryer to the outside of the house. For the dryer to heat properly, the duct must be clean and clear of lint or any other substance. Your dryer has some internal ductwork. If it gets clogged, your dryer can't dry properly. In most dryers, to get to the internal ductwork to clear the clog, you have to substantially disassemble the dryer. A quick way to check for internal clogs is to remove the lint filter and use a flashlight to inspect the inside of the duct.

What's wrong with my dryer? It isn't drying clothes, sometimes they will dry but most the time it spins but does't dry. The heating element has been checked & they said it was fine.

Hello and welcome to FixYa
Dryer not drying clothes is caused when the thermal fuse located on the blower wheel housing goes bad and should be replaced to resolve the issue. Please get back to me if you have any questions.

sounds like you need to clean out dryer and blow out the vent line,go outside and make sure the duct isn't blocked or clogged with lint

My dryer dosen't dry my clothes

Check the exhaust tube for obstructions. If this is a gas dryer it needs airflow coming and going through that tube. This is always the cheapest, easiest first step.

Dryer taking too long to dry clothes

Hello :)

Very common problem. You need to call a
duct cleaning company and tell them to clean
your dryer vent. Rule-of-thumb: dryer vents
should be cleaned every couple of years to
prevent them from being clogged with lint and
causing lint fires. This is definitely your problem.
Good luck :)

p.s. one way to verify a clogged vent is
to go outside where the vent exits the house
and feel the air-flow. should have adequate air-flow.
