Re: wireless connection issues with toshiba satellite...

Try changing the channel on the router. There may be too much interference on the current channel.

Cannot connect to the internet on the Toshiba Netbook. Has very strong network signal.

Troubleshoot the issue by identifying the ip address that your computer has. May it be wireless or local area connection. Check IP Address thru command prompt or DOS.
· press <windows key>+<R>
· type "cmd"
· press ok button. a black box will appear
· type "ipconfig /all" then press enter key
· locate wireless connection and local area connection group by scrolling up/down.

NOTE: ignore highlighted physical address.

If the ip address is, this is an invalid ip address. Contact Internet Service Provider. If the ip address is, click start and open control panel. then open internet options. click on connections tab. click on lan settings. Make sure no tick box checked. All set your anti virus' firewall settings to default. Then try browsing.

I hope this works for you. KINDLY REPLY IF FURTHER ASSISTANCE NEEDED. Good Luck!

Cannot get internet from router to

If I understand correctly you want to use the router as a gateway for an sat. receiver.
This Netgear router can be connected to devices that has TCP/IP connections (RJ45) ports or wireless IEEE 803.11 b/g, and that can get the IP address statically or from DHCP (router). Toshiba can do that and therefore it is working fine. If sat.receiver is not device that can behave as a PC (processor etc.) it can not get IP address and router can not "see" that device, therefore router can not let "something invisible" to connect to the internet.

I want to know my computer have wireless connection

Try this:

1. Go to Control Panel>Network Connection>There will show connections by any network (WLAN, LAN, etc.)
2. Did wireless icon on your task bar appear? If yes, it's meant you're working on wireless connection.

Hope that will help! Feel free to ask me =]

Create a local area network

you can get a HP x175 printserver. (not expensive.) and connected it between the printer and the router. that way you don't have to have the desktop on all the time.

Guidance setting up a shared connection :)

1- set up router trough desktop
2-run program for wireless, after it gives you the IP ( which it already has, set user name and password for protection)
3-set up the laptop as a "Shared folder" along with the printer if there is one.

I need to connect a real router with more ports to it 4-2 pcs

Connect the LAN port on the Barricade to the WAN port on your wireless router. The Barricade should be "plug-and-play",
i.e., no need to configure it. Similarly, the WAN port on the wireless-router is plug-and-play, so it should automatically get an IP-address from the Barricade.

Use an Ethernet cable to connect the network-port on your computer to one of the LAN ports on the router.
Then, start Internet Explorer, and connect to the web-server "inside" the router. Run the "Wired Network Setup Wizard", and then the "Wireless Network Setup Wizard". When you're done, then your "wireless" device(s) (iPod Touch, laptop, XBox360) should be able to make a wireless connection.

Note: no need for any CDs to "install" anything.
