It's time to call a professional. Call the manufacturer and ask them who they recommend in your area. Note :Some questions can be answered if you put enough information such as brand and model number.
Push buttons about five times each beforjust to make sure they are not stuck....then......Turn the air conditioner OFF and unplug it. NOTE: The air conditioner must be unplugged for the automatic filter clean timer to reset. Clean the filter. See the Care and Cleaning section in your use and care manual. After cleaning, replace the filter and plug the air conditioner back in.
Other forums say the E1 code is because the AC thinks a button is stuck or because it's dirty, but almost all of them say to use the remote and it'll work ok.
On Haier Ac Unis and Dehumidifiers the "E1" error code indicates a circuit failure.Only Haier Technical Service can tell you which circuit is involved. In the US & Canada call 1-877-337-3639.

The "E1" Code indicates a security protection shut down code. Based o what you said about the power outage and the restoration of power, I assume the unit was left ON during the power out and restoration of power. A power surge more than likely caused the error code.
Hopefully irreparable did occur and you can get the electronics to reset by doing the following:
Turn the ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit for 15 minutes. After that time has elapsed plug the unit in and turn the ON/OFF Switch to ON. Hopefully, the electronics reset & reverted back to the original factory settings and the error code has disappeared and you can set the controls as you like. If that didn't happen, you should contact Haier Customer Support 1-877-337-3639, as they can tell you which circuit was effected. From there, you can determine if a repair is warranted.
Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.
For security reasons, Haier does not post the remote code for a specific model AC Unit. However, if you have misplaced the Owner's Manual and the card that came with the hand held remote. You can contact Haier Customer Support ( 1-877-337-3639 ) for a new code & how to reprogram it

These units have a capacitor that cannot be replaced. You'll need to buy the whole circuit board. I didn't bother with mine, I just went and bought another unit. 108 bucks.
