Why does the power light on my HP E221 display flash white? The screen won't turn on and there is no response from pressing any of the buttons on the front.

Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for a full minute. Plug in the AC Adapter ( leave the battery out for the moment ) and see if the notebook will start.

Easynote tj74 wont turn on

Your not getting power? When you plug the laptop in does the Battery charge light come on? Are you getting power to the laptop? Do you have a multimeter to verify voltage from th AC outlet to the AC jack? Or ,the power gets to the laptop and push the on/off button you get no response? Or, you push the on/off button and the laptop starts then shut down? No lights, no leds blink. Remove battery, Try another cord/charger. Has it been dropped or damaged that would jar loose a connection, or pulled by the cord resulting in a damaged AC jack?

Cannot shut off & no display

The eMachines M5105 is notorious for failing to boot if left unplugged and powered off long enough for the battery to become mostly discharged. Plugging it in to AC power will cause the battery to start charging; and the hard disk drive to spin while the CPU cooling fan cycles on and off vigorously. THE UNIT WILL NOT BOOT UNTIL THE BATTERY IS NEAR FULLY CHARGED; then THE AC DISCONNECTED; and then THE (charged) BATTERY REMOVED AND RE-INSTALLED! Most units will boot after following the foregoing procedure.

No response

First follow procedure to try to reset the power.
  1. Unplug the ac adapter. Keep ac adapter unplugged.
  2. Remove the battery and keep the battery unplugged.
  3. Hold the power button down for 15-20 seconds. (Nothing will appear on the display and none of the lights will light up.)
  4. Release the power button and plug in the ac adapter ONLY. (Please note that a power indicator light should be lit on the ac adapter when it is plugged in).
  5. Normally power on the notebook.
  6. If the unit does not power on, remove the ac adapter and insert the battery into the system.
  7. Plug the ac adapter back into the system, the battery charging indicator light will light up.
If the battery charging indicator light does not light up, the ac adapter may not be providing proper power to the unit, and may need to be replaced.
