Question about Bissell SpotBot Robotic Wet/Dry Vacuum

Within an Hour my SpotBot stopped working

I just did three hands-free cycles on various spots in my carpet. When I went to empty the dirty container, I spilt a little water on the SpotBot (hey, I didn't know that it would empty out of the top). When I got everything emptied, refilled and ready to go on another spot, I couldn't get it running again. I push buttons, but it's a no go. I can't figure out why it stopped working.

Used my SpotBot twice, worked great and then never worked again. Wouldn't even power up.

From the start the machine will work a while, stop, then today after it stopped it wouldn't start again for a while. Then it did restart but only the howe worked, the stop/pause buttons don't work. For the money it should work better than it does.

Some of that water must have gotten inside amd shorted something. If this is less then 1 year, it would be under warranty. It iwll have to be taken apart and checked.

Here is a picture, looks like the circuit board may not be a replaceable part:

My Bissell Spotbot Pet cleaner stopped working. Took it out of the closet, plugged it in, No power? It worked great the last time it was used.

Well, if cycling it manually doesn't work and replacing the controller board didn't make a difference did you check the flex hose sensor? Bots won't run unless everything is clicked into place.

"Testimonials" don't continue the thread :)

I managed to dig up a copy of the service guide since I haven't owned a spotbot in years. http://evacuumstore.com/images/spotbot-repair-guide.pdf

Clean bissell spot bot brush

NONE of these answers apply to the question! The asker referred to the Bissell SPOTBOT, which doesn't have a push handle. I'd like to know how to remove the brush myself. I know how to remove the components but haven't been able to figure out how to remove the mechanism.

Need a Bissell Spot Bot Manual

You'll find manuals for several Spot Bots at the link below. There should be any significant differences among the models.

Leaving bigger dirtier wet spots after cleaning

Sounds like the vacuum motor is defective or you have a clog in the vaccum line. Basically everything is running except the vacuum "Suction" cycle. Do you hear the "Suction" phase (light indicator) during operation when it loudens like a whine? That would be the vacuum phase. Is the dirty water reservoir clean, do you rinse it thoroughly when you empty it? Have you removed the hose assy and rinsed it out? I think it is still part of the auto cycle even if you don't use the manual tool.

Spray does not soak the carpet like it used to.

You probally have a clogged line. Either take it apart yourself and manually unclogg each line (requires a compressor) or take it to a local vac shop and have them do it.

SpotBot: Brushed do not rotate

I had the same problem everything worked except the brushes wouldn't move. I took the top off and tested the leads to the motor and it wasn't getting any power. So I took the power board out and traced it to a large ceramic 5 watt 1.5 ohm resistor right in the middle of the board. I got a replacement resistor from a local electronic store and soldered it in. So for less than a dollar its working perfectly again. Also I put some electical tape over the speaker to quiet it down. It seems funny to have a very very loud beep to tell you when a very loud machine is done.

Spotbot is leaking...

Mine constantly leaked as well but I found that if I remove the container will the solution in it after every use it doesn't leak anymore. I store my container (upright - nozzle face up) under the sink with my other cleaning products and when I need to use the machine I pull it back out, pop it in and clean.
