Problem for LG 42LG50 42 in. HDTV LCD TV

LG 42" LCD TV screen goes black and no sound.

After about 20-30 minutes the TV will go from a great picture to a black screen and no sound. You can not turn it off with a remote, generally you need to turn off the TV by pulling hte plug. Needd to let it sit for a while and try again. Sometimes if you wait longer - couple of hours it will cycle through the same routine.

- Thanks for your links. They are great for buying TV services or new TVs. Unfortunately I didn't find any help at the end of the links to assist me in repairing or identifying the root cause.
