My Hitachi 51f510 started with turn on problem had to restart several times then digressed to flashing off immediately and them to no picture no sound also had secondary imprint behind normal picture on the left third of the screen. What can I do. I can handle a solder gun ok but don't know anything about TV repair. One person said it must ve a volt reg number strf6626 but I find nothing with that number on the rear chassis?

- where is 1P01 located exactly? Thanks

Aug 20, 2009

- I found 1P01 and loosened the circuit board and looked under 1P01 and there are two terminals in one of the rows that have no solder would this be the problem or are two left open purposely? Thanks Mw in NM

- Guess you didn't get my last comment. Have found 1p01 and loosened cb looked underneath to find two terminals on one side of 1P01 not to be soldered could this be the problem or are two left normally open?

Aug 21, 2009

- Thanks : now it appears that I need to get that cb out and onto a table in order to solder carefully . I see a bunch of molex conectors that can be disconnected but wanted to make sure the 3 distributor cap looking wires can be pulled out of what to me looks like a coil. Can I Slip the rubber boots up and disconnect the wires without hurting anything?

- What would you check next if you were here excluding cold solder joints.
What makes you certain a new power supply would be the final answer, and least provide names of those who might be competition to the parts strore.

Please replace IP01 (IC, MCZ3001DB) part number CP08451U in power supply section of TV.
CP08451U (MCZ3001DB) is available in Part Store and replacement requires good skills in parts soldering on PCB.
If you need service/ repair manual of TV, let me know to provide you a copy that might help you.
Thanks.

================================================================

It is IP01 (ip01) and located in power supply board, just follow AC cord of TV and that will take you in power supply board/ section in TV.

Below is an exploded view from repair manual that might help you.
Thanks.

Yes, pin-13 and pin-17 are not connected by its design so it is just normal.
These 2 unconnected pins are not cause of problem. Replace the IC and be careful while replacing/ soldering IC, please do not make bridge solder point between IC pins.

- An image of schematic of ip01 and pins are marked that are not connected ( NC )

I got your previous comment about 2 pins of IC ip01 that are not soldered with PCB,
Yes, these pins are not soldered in circuit and left open (not connected) purposely. It is not cause or reason of problem in TV.
I also posted schematic part of that IC as reference with pin numbers marked for your information.
Replace that IC in TV and hope TV will power up normally as it was before.
Thanks.

Yes, push these wires inward, turn it 45 degree and pull out. Do that gently otherwise wire end can be broken off.
Thanks.

- Hope below image taken from service manual will help to remove these wires.

Did you got copy of service manual from said website?

- OK,
Component level repair requires fair knowledge of electronics and good experience so I would suggest to replace power supply board to fix this TV..

JT24485 POWER DEFLECTION PWB

Available in Part Store and may be other sites offer that board on less price if searched on internet.
Thanks.

My sincere advice took in wrong way.
As I said before, component level repair needs high class electronics knowledge, experience or expertise.
I am able to fix this TV in limited time if it is in front of me. Little experienced person can cause more damage on component level repair. I'm far away from TV and my advise was in best interest of you.
Service manual copy was totally free.
Thanks.
