i have an aspire acer 5735z laptop in the manuels it says its possible to have a video confrence, but when using msn messenger it says no webcam has been installed..how do i find or locate the webcam,if their is one at all?
If it is a desktop then you need to purchase speakers & if a laptop then 90% there would beinbuilt speakers.
Before anything check if the sound is working on the system
Double Click on the speaker icon on the right bottom of the screen>>make sure in none of the mute boxes should be checked>>Now try to play any audio >> this can be tested by playing a song on the system
click the pearl sign on the left bottom>>click programmes>>Click windows media player>>put a cd and try playing it>>Play a file>>
make sure that the power is on and mute is not. Check to see if the speakers work properly before trying to
troubleshoot your system. Do this by connecting the speakers to a music
system or radio. If they do, the problem is definitely system related.
If you find that only a certain application has the problem, such as Windows Media Player or Winamp, reinstall it.
If all this is to no avail, go to the system properties [Windows] +
[Pause/Break] or right-click on my computer and select Properties and
in device manager make sure that sound card is installed properly. Look
for a yellow exclamation mark, if it present, you will have to
reinstall the drivers.
If you have an integrated sound card that is disabled in the BIOS, then
Windows will not be able to detect it. Refer to your motherboard
manual, and find out how to enable the same. Usually it is present
under the advanced peripherals section in BIOS.
If you have access to another PC, plug the sound card into that system,
and check if it is working. If the problem persists, off to a
technician you go.
low feed backs hurt my ratings and I am tring to help you with your problem.
You should tell the model of your acer or the sound card on it so that i can serach it for you. However you can search it by your own by simply going to the acer website and then search the model of your laptop and the go to the support and downloads.
check if your speaker is connected in the green socket of your sound card...check the sound card driver, reinstall if needed...check the device (start>control panel>system>hardware>device manager>sound, video & game controllers)...is the device working properly?if yes but still your speaker will not play?...try other speaker if you have...or replaced it...
Speaker issue desktop's only
1. Plug USB into USB port (any) 2. Plug Black speak cable into LIGH GREEN (NOT BLACK) connector 3. You will see a popup window - make sure it is on Front Speaker out 4. Click OK - you will a cartoon computer with speakers on either side -then click on one of the
speakers to test 5. if that does not work then follow this:
1. If in Windows - Start - Programs - Acer Empowering Technology - Acer E-recovery management -
click on Restore at bottom then "Reinstall apps and drivers" - look for hardware drivers that you
need. Click "install now"
