Freezer suddenly is creating mounds of freezer "fluff"

The freezer is creating "freezer fluff" which is like mounds of snow-like residue. It is a freezer that does not need defrosting.  This has been happening the last week in a refrigerator about 6 years old.  It is a refrigerator and freezer unit.  The ice maker is on "off" position.  what is creating the build-up of this snow?

That snow is the condensate build up on the evaporator coils behind the rear panel of your freezer. Normally the freezer will go into defrost about every 10 hours and this snow will melt and drain out the defrost condensate line below the evaporator and go to a pan under your refrigerator and return back to the air inside your home. I believe your freezer is missing the defrost cycle either because the controls for the defrost are defective or the defrost heater and defrost thermostat is defective. I would be watching for an increase in refrigerator temperatures soon, due to loss of defrost. We will need to unplug and examine the evaporator coils behind the rear wall of the freezer. If frozen or covered with snow then defrost with a hair dryer and lets check the defrost heater and all its related components. Sea Breeze

How do volcanoes erupt

Very simply: There s a layer of melted rock, called magma, below the Earth\'s surface. That magma is under tremendous pressure from gasses created when the rock melts, from the growth of the rock when it melts, and from the melting of other rock around it. When the pressure on the magma gets high enough, some part of the "pipe" it\'s in - that is the Earth\'s surface - breaks and the magma bursts out. As it escapes it cools, forming a mound. That mound is a volcano.

Refigerator and freezer all of the sudden don't seem to keep cold enough

The back wall of your freezer covered with snow? If it is I would suggest you replace the heater and a thermistor - Heater: WR51X10101 Thermistor: WR55X10025. If no snow then it is probably the main pcb: WR55X10656

Snow in the freezer

If you are noticing that you often have "snow" if the freezer, this is an indication of one of two things. 1. Are you putting food into the freezer while it is still hot? This will cause condisation to form, and if it is done often enough, this will lead to "snow" 2. The other reason that this might happen, and the more likely of the two is that the door is either not being closed completely, or the door seal is leaking allowing room air to enter and condense in the freezer. Hope this helps.

Freezer is producing"snow" and freezer burning everything

AFTER A DEFROST,HAVE A GOOD LOOK AT THE DOOR RUBBER. IT MUST BE 100% SEALED FOR A FREEZER. (SHOULD ALSO HEAR A SLIGHT VACUME WHEN DOOR IS SHUT WHEN UP NTO TEMP).ALSO MAKE SURE MOTOR IS SWITCHING OFF AT +/- 20C (TEMP).IF ALLOWED TO RUN CONTINUOUSLY TEMP WILL PULL DOWN TO CREATE EXCESS FROST.
