If you are looking to program your scanner:

USB Interface
Keyboard Interface

If you are using the USB interface, make sure you are plugging the scanner either directly into the computer, or if you are using a USB hub, it is a powered hub.

I hope this helps.

Windows XP does not recognize the Handheld scanner.

My guess is that the USB hub needs to be plugged in ... if for some reason the usb hub doesn't allow you to plug it in then you need to get one that you can plug in... because I believe the scanner is using more power that the usb port can power. Scanner usually need to be plugged directly into the computer or they need to be plugged into a powered hub.

I hope this helps!!!

Psc qs6000 plus

If, during the programming session, you find that you are unsure of the scanner's settings or wish to reset the scanner's configuration, use the Return to Factory Settings label available in the Programming Overview section of the above programming guides. (Note: Use this label with caution, as it will disable ALL features that may have been programmed since the scanner's installation.)

Psc quickscan 6000plus

That scanner has been constrained to accept a digit length of 12 or less .. probably IPC codes which are 12 digits in length.

Do you know the symbology of the barcode you are scanning? (i.e. UPC, EAN, I2of5, C3of9 etc).

QS6000 Plus barcode scanner

you can not change a qs6000 from ps2 to usb by just changing the cable. the interface inside the unit needs to support usb, to check this look at label with the serial number and if it says "I/F=KBW/RS" your our of luck, and can only use ps2 or rs232. if it says "I/F=UW" then you can just scan 3 barcode from the manual to set the interface to usb
