Re: hp 2175 printer

Have you succesfully refilled the cartridge before?
i'm not sure, but you might need a chip resetter to refill a cartridge

it's also possible it doesn't work if you have refilled the cartridge more than three times

i recommend you to buy a new cartrige instead of refilling

Hp psc 2175 printer prints black fine and also yellow and blue color, but nothing prints in red. I have used both a refilled and a new (remanufactured) cartridge with same results. How can I get the red...

The hole he is referring to is probably the nozzle. Most of the HP all-in one's have this feature under the maintenance tab. Open control panel->Double click printers->Right-click on the HP PSC-> Click properties. Then click on the maintenance tab and click on the nozzle check option and insert a paper into the document feeder. The printer will check the nozzles and print different colors and patterns on the printer. Check to see if the printer is printing red and then post back on this thread with your results.

HP psc 2175 all-in-one printer shows error:Right cartridge incorrect. HELP!

Forgive me for asking this, but roughly speaking about 80 to 95% of problems involving ink or toner are resolved by the following:
Are you using a factory new ink cartridge supplied by the manufacturer of the printer?
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.

HP psc2175 remove and check cartridge

The ink cartridges are probably dried up inside.

I would try replacing them before tossing the printer.

Buy GENUINE HP carts.

Check ink cartridge

Your ink cartridges could be dried up or empty, even if they are new.

My 2175 series printer is telling me to check print cartridges. I do that and then it tells me to close the door. It then repeats the commands. Do I just need new ink - they seem fine.I'm unable to print...

u can check the printer ink in printer properties..then dont open the door if u dont change the ink cause hp printer is automatic sensor...when u open the printer door the printer cartridge goes in center if u dont change the ink close the door always

2175 printer

This is a typical error with the 2175 / 2100 series.
1.) Error comes up if ink in cartridge's ink level gets too low.
2.) The ink cartridge's copper contacts are dirty. Dirt you can't see. Clean contacts with alcohol & cotton swab's (not dripping).
3.) The carridge contact's need cleaning. (Same as above).
4.) The cartridge, (even though new, can be defective).
5.) You are using a "refill kit" of some kind to refill ink cartridge's.
6.) After 1-5, re-set the printer. Power off printer wait a minute & power back on.
