Start - Programs - Windows Movie Maker
Click Import Media - select the video clip you want to rotate from your files and point and click on it to highlight it - then click the import button lower right corner of screen.
When the file name appears - drag the clip to the video line at the bottom of the screen - point at file name and hold down right mouse button while you move the mouse to point at the video timeline then let go of the right button to drop the video into the timeline.
Point and RIGHT click on the clip you just added to the timeline
Click Effects
Scroll down to Rotate 90 and click to highlight it (you could also flip the video with 180 or 270)
Click the ADD button
Then click OK
The video will rotate.
Be sure to publish and save the new video with a name you can find...
File - Publish Movie - to computer will save it as a file on your PC - to DVD will start another program to create a DVD...

I`ve bought a 4GB memory SDHC memory card to my Canon powershot A 430 camera, and when i put it in my camera - it says memory card error. I tried to unlock it by the small button, but didin`t help. What...

The Canon A430 uses MMC and SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Canon camera shuts off while filming a movie

Wow! get 35 min. of uninterrupted movie on a point-and-shoot camera before it shuts off and you're complaining? No Hollywood director would ever shoot that much without stopping....even Alfred Hitchcock never went that far! After your camera shuts down, can you start it up again and resume another movie session?

I can take videos with my Canon A520 but cannot take still pictures.

Is the function knob/button set to camera instead of movie ?

If so try rotating it a couple of time, it may not be registering the switch setting properly.

Canon Powershot A430 - can i charge batteries through AC

The A430 is a camera, not a battery charger. If you want to use rechargeable batteries then you must use a separate charger. Battery chargers should be available at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store.

Canon PowerShot A420 Digital Camera. When I make a movie how come there is no sound, how do I turn the sound on?

The Canon PowerShot A420 has NO MICROPHONE. That's the reason why you don't have sound on your movies.

The Canon PowerShot A430 does have a microphone! So with that camera you can make movies with sound. You just can't do that with the A420. Sorry!

Canon PowerShot S410 - Mode Switch Problem

Your problem is fairly common. However, fixing it will require someone to actually open the camera case and clean the rotating switch (mode dial). Also, I've never personally opened an S410, but it should be similar to what's posted on the following blog using an A460's mode dial as an example. Keep in mind that there is some risk that you may actually make things worse. So remember to weigh the options before going in there. The responsibility of how things went is ultimately yours:

If you decide to conduct the repair yourself, please leave a follow up comment, either here or on the blog on how things went. Good Luck!
