Question about Sirius Satellite Radio S50-TK1 Satellite Radio Receiver with Car Kit
I was very happily listening, then my radio cut out, and on came the weather/emergency channel. I can't seem to get it to pick up other channels.
What is the problem?
This hapened to my s50 the day after my semi annual payment went through (thought it was a CC problem) No, it just died? First the logo screen was on freeze mode..looked up on outher forum..same issues. the "3 Finger salute" worked for some, but not all..its a risky procedure.
Anyway, I received a MUST UPGRADE FIRMWARE for the S50...new verison of Sirius Sudio...no go. I was on the phone with Leah CS Rep..helpful, she tried. Apparently this this is dead.
Went through the 3 Finger procedure..looked like it was going to work, stuck on FIRMWARE UPDATING...then the receiver shuts down. Shes sending me a new unit..sucks it is a major downgrade, the real basic Stratus 4 with thatamber screen, ugh.
Only thing good about this, I can use it as an MP3 player

Call Sirius and verify your account is still active. Also, on the S50 make sure you can see your ESN number. If you can, go to the menu and Reset Channels. If you can't do that on your car kit, try it on your home kit.
