You need to configure your wireless card in the computer/laptop with the Netgear's wireless settings eg the SSID and the encryption settings etc. so the computer/laptop can connect to the Netgear wireless router.

The network password/encryption key is in the Netgear wireless settings.

No, the wireless card in the PS3 is just ike a wireless card in a computer. You cannot turn a wireless card into a wireless router, a wireless router is a special piece of equipment.

Do you have encryption enabled on your router? If so you will need to enter the encryption key of the passphrase in the network setup of the xbox 360

To connect into your own Netgear router, you need to configure the wireless card with your router's wireless configuration settings, eg.the SSID and encryption settings. Check your router manual on how to configure the router or go to the Netgear WEB site to download this info.
To configure the Netgear router for wireless you need to connect a LAN cable from the laptop to the router and run your browser with the configuration IP address. for Netgear type the URL address ;-
http://192.168.0.1
the login = admin PW = password
Then configure the SSID and encryption, record this info so you can configure the wireless card with the same settings.

You can also connect to the Internet by using a LAN cable and plug it into the Netgear router without a wireless connection.
