INSTALLING GRAPHIC CARD 9500GT ON ASUS P5LD2-VM R1

I'm tryin to install graphic card GAINWARD NVIDIA 9500GT on ASUS P5LD2-VM R1 with P4 3G.
The card isn't working, I tried to turn off the o/b graphic chip through the bios and it doesn't work (the bios priority is to the PCIEX16 first and then to the internal VGA).
Do you have suggestions how to do it?

    Thank you,that was a part of the problem.
    I succeed to install it with an help of a friend.
    the graphic card is coming without a driver cd.
    So when the card is installed, an internet connection has to be done, only after the driver was installed successfully, the BIOS identified the card.

Hi,
First of all is this a new graphics card? If it is take the card out of the PCI Express slot, get a clean, dry, soft paintbrush and clean the PCI Express slot, then blow on the slot to remove any residual dust.
Make sure the brass contacts on the card are clean and then reinsert the card, make sure it clips into place properly and you secure the card with the screw at the back of the computer, then try booting the machine.

If you bought the card second hand then there is a possibility that the card is faulty.
Luckily for you i now a way to bring a dead graphics card back to life but you do it at your own risk.

Let me know how you get on and good luck.

Which graphics card is best suitable for ASUS P5LD2-VM Motherboard

Not too shabby, looks like it will support PCI Express based cards since most these days are PCIe and PCI, so its personal preferance and what you can afford. But since its a Intel based board (according to reviews) nVidia is a logical solution, but ATi will still work fine

I have a asus P5GC-MX , i install a nvidia 9500GT but the display will not auto disable the internal graphic although i have set to PCI-E / Int

Did you install the drivers ->First from the CD, then install the graphics card?

No? Start over.

Once you install a device, Windows rushes over to match a driver with it. If you do not have THE driver already installed, (So Windows can find it), Windows will match up one of it's thousands of Generic drivers, or use the Onboard graphics driver already in use.

Power down, unplug the computer from power. Remove the graphics card observing anti-static precautions.
Press the Power On button in, and hold it in.
Hold it in for a count of Five seconds. (Count, 1001,..1002,..1003,..1004,..1005)
Let go of the Power On button. Do this procedure Two more times.

What you are doing is resetting BIOS back to the factory default settings, and clearing CMOS Error Codes.

Now plug your monitor back into the VGA port, in the I/O area of the Asus P5GC-MX mobo.
Plug the computer back into power. WAIT 1 minute, turn the computer on. When Windows has fully loaded, and all of your Start Menu programs, install the Drivers CD for the Nvidia 9500GT in your optical drive. Install the software.

If it asks you to restart your computer, Do Not at this time. Shut the computer down normally. Unplug from power. Observe anti-static precautions. Plug the Nvidia card in. Plug the monitor into the Nvidia card. Close the computer case.
Plug the computer back into power. WAIT 1 minute, turn the computer on.

Now, hows that?

[Advanced PCI/PnP Settings should be:
1.Plug n Play O/S -> No
2.PCI Latency Timer -> 64
3.Allocate IRQ to PCI VGA -> Yes
4.Pallete Snooping -> Disabled
5.All IRQ's (3 through 15) are set to -> PCI Device]

Installing a geforce 9500gt. Will it work?

Yes, the Nvidia geforce 9500gt graphic card is compatible with most Intel motherboard . And for installation, you just place your graphic card in the expansion slot of PCI Express x16 and install the latest driver from the nvidia site.

Screen not starting after installing graphics card

Hi rohit1987,

The XFX NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 256MB DDR3 PCI Express card uses two DVI ports on the back of the card. Display is most likely coming from the second port. Try moving your monitor cable to the next DVI port. You can do this while your system is running.
If you still do not receive display, post that here & we'll go over some other possibilities.

Good luck rohit1987!

Installing NVidia 8500GT XFX 256MB graphics to A8N-VM Motherboard

The chances are that you have an old motherboard which is not compatable with the new graphic card. Or you may be running windows 98 and are downloading the driver for xp or visa versa. The probable solution, will be to sell the new card on ebay and buy the best old card you can off ebay. Or just make do with the card you already had in your computer. If you are determined to have a better graphics card. A motherboard upgrade with better graphic card may be the best answer or buy a better spec pc second hand if you don't have much money. You'll probably waiste a lot of time trying to get the new card to work and it probably never will.
