Question about Philips CDR770 CD Recorder

1 Answer

Finalizing Error ok, i just purchased this from a friend and i was testing it out and everything worked fine. So i started to burn more of my vinyls on to a digital audio cd-r. There are 10 songs on there which total up to 30 minutes, i finished recording and i am trying to finalize it but it just goes from 2:10-1:45 and just stops. Is there any solution to this problem? Thanks

You can try finalizing the disc on another machine.Have you tried a different disc? You may have a laser issue.

Only fuse you need is the power wire leading to your aftermarket amplifier for te subwoofer. Which most likely you have too small of a gauge of wire and burned straight through it, and if you haven't, add a 40 amp fuse near the battery where your power cable is hooked up to. Also use a multimeter to test your power wire on amp, check the

Try first unplugging power cord and eventually removing the battery for 2 minutes, see if it reset to normal.

Hi Anonymous, you need to get out your test light and find the short and start by making sure the battery has 12 volts or more and clean tight connections especially the ground cable at both ends. If your issues involves lights always check the bulbs for broken filiments and fuses first. Then start at the socket and work your way towards the handlebar switches checking each wiring harness connector for corroded, broken or loose pins and remember dielectric grease is your friend. Check the switches for continuity and work your way towards the ignition switch and check it for continuity. Keep working your way to the fuses and circuit breaker and finally the battery. My Frigidaire microwave (PLMV169DCD) has recently stopped heating, but otherwise seems to work fine. I had a repair man come and look at it and said it was the magnetron. I purchased a used magnetron and...

A used magnetron is not a good idea at all to try and you can not test a diode with a digital meter. 99.9% of the time your transformer will start burning the wire windings when it fails. Also a magnetron can test good and still be bad. Without being there and looking at this myself the best advise I can give is to check the door switches, and if they are good just replace the Magnetron and Diode. You can order reasonably priced microwave replacement parts here http://allapplianceparts.com/. The mags they sell are better than most oem ones and are cheaper! You can also pick out a replacement diode from them.

Same just happened to me. I was using SONY CD-R audio 80 min recordable CDs. One burned 3 songs, the other 4 songs before giving me the "CD write failure" message. I tried another brand of CD-R, TDK CD-R, certified plus, and it worked first time. It played on my CD player, on the Ion, etc - works. Maybe the CD burner in the device is very picky as to the brand or quality of the CD-R media? Try a TDK or other to see if that will do it.
-Good luck! Bill

most every burner has a verification after burn setting. Turn that on for a simple burn, use a high grade DVD and test.
If the verification fails, it is probabbly the laser is failing. You can purchase a cleaner cd but that rarely works.

Won't record record to CD-RW

First make sure your cdrw disc is blank. If it is blank try another good known cdrw brand disc and burn it in 12x speed for a good burn.

If it still fail check the software side of your cd rewriter first and lastly the cd rewriter unit.

The songs you are tyrying to download do not have "transfer rights," so they will not work with any Mp3 player. Convert he songs to Mp3 format to solve.
