The click you are hearing is the shutdown relay activating. This is a sign that there is an excessive current drain in the TV. The current drain causes the shutdown circuitry to activate. I would suspect the SMPS as the cause.

Thank you,

Check all the connections around the Flyback transformer, the click you are hearing are relays not ttransformer. You should have or someone check all the connections in the Horizontal circuits as well. Also there is a capacitor on this same board that may need replacing is a 2200uf 10volt capacitor replace it with same value but increase the voltage rating to 16 volts..

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

Initially, the clicking sound is the relay inside that is engaging. In some instances, this symptom could indicate that the relay contacts have corroded or burned and are no longer providing electrical contacts. Normal course of repair would be replacing, but some have known to work with even just cleaning/scrapping.

That above was the easy probable fault. At other other times, the relay clicking indicates the the Mitsubishi is triggering off, meaning its built-in protection has kicked in. This is indicative of a hardware fault. This of course would require a fair familiarity of electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Hopethis be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up orshould you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.Thank you for using FixYa.

I hear a sound like a shortcircuit on backside?

I think the problem is either the power supply/High Voltage board or the IHVT (Integrated High Voltage Transformer). I don't have schematics for this model, in addition you will need to take the IHVT out and perform a ring test on it, also I would advise you to check and see if the Horizontal Output transistor is shorted also, you can do this with an ohmmeter (measure between the collector and ground it should have a high reading if the reading is low the transistor is bad). The ring test can be performed with the use of a Universal Video Analyzer, or a LCR analyzer.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

No sound no pic!

That is the DPTV310 chassis I believe the problem could be in the power supply input board or the large signal board. I have a source to locate those boards used if you would like me to post it. They sell parts cheap and all parts are in good working order. I have used their parts many times.

It sounds like you have a real bad problem, Do your Circuit Board looks repairable? Was the burn thru the board? Are you saying you need the schematic for this TV? For more info
