Dishwasher doesn't run
If you turn on the dishwasher and nothing happens:

1) Be sure the power is on, the door is latched, and the control is turned on. Also make sure the appliance cord is plugged into the electrical receptacle under the sink (some are hardwired and don't come unplugged).

2) If that doesn't solve the problem, the door switch, the timer, or the selector switch may be defective. To solve the problem, you may be able to adjust the door latch's strike slightly, using a screwdriver (turn off the power to the dishwasher at the electrical panel when working on it).

3) If that doesn't work, call an appliance repairperson.

Not sure how to get the front off to get to the electrics to change fuse as there is power to the dishwasher

There is no electric fuse inside the dishwasher.

If you do not see any power on the dihwasher it is likely the thermal fuse has blown. The thermal fuse is part of the heater assembly at the base of the drawer.

I am assuming you have a single drawer unit.

in case you do want to remove the front cover then refer this installation manual on on page 7.

Have you checked the mains power circuit breaker? Replacing the heater assembly is not a trivial task and will need a qualified technician.

The heater assembly is available form this site.

Make sure you turn off the mains power when working on the dishwasher as the mains power comes straight to the base of the dishwasher on the filter pcb.

Hope you find this useful. Please rate it otherwise post a comment.

We just bought house that is five years old and the previous owner told us that the dihwasher had never been used. It is a Hotpoint Model 3400G02WW, with serial # LG804739Y. It will not come on, and...

The dishwasher should be plugged into a GFCI outlet, most likely in the cabinet under the sink. Check to make sure the outlet has not tripped. There should be test and reset buttons on the outlet. Reset it and try again. The GFCI outlet has a finite life span and I have seen the outlet fail. If there is no power after a reset, then try to replace the outlet with a similar one. If the outlet is not under the sink, it may be behind the dishwasher.

I have a Zanussi Electrolux ZSF6126 and the

Check to see if the heat element in the bottom inside is all crusty or cracked, if so replace, if not, unplug unit from house current, pull bottom toe panel off, you should see where heat element comes thru cabinet and has two wires attached, remove wires, take ohm meter and check for reading, if reading is ok then you either have bad control timer circuit (main board) or blown thermal fuse. Call tech to check further if you do not have original tech sheet or electrical background. My bet is that you have a bad heat element.

The water wont heat in the dishwasher

Hi, well i think you might have your hands full here! You could be looking at a couple of faults with this. If it wasnt heating then the first p[lace to look is defently the heater and components first! But you should also check that it is filling up to the correct level to or other wise it might not switch the heater on! I know that zanussi have some problems with the sump operated pressure switches which allow the correct amount of water in before it starts to heat, so maybe look at this first. Most of the sumps can be cleaned out easy but some need a replacement sump to be fitted.

Problems! zanussi zsf6120

You can check the heating element with an ohmmeter and it should read a few hundred ohms. Don't know about the thermostat but it should be inline electrically with the heating element and should ohm as a short when cold.

Water will not fill into dishwasher

hi, it could be the inlet valve. This is usually what the hose fits to on the outside of the machine, and on the inside is the valve. MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF BEFORE you take the wires off the valve, then check for a reading on a ohms meter.ACROSS THE TWO TAGS, If no reading on the meter, the valve is gone. Regards, Tom.

Washing powder door broken

The door is usually opened by a solenoid that is actuated by the timer. Sometimes, the solenoid becomes stuck in the open position. If so, you may be able to see the opening. You can try banging on the door near the latch with something relatively soft sometimes to free it but usually the door must be disassembled to repair it if it's an electrical failure.
