Yes if the TV is in Showroom mode it will do that. It is to correct for all the would-be button pushers. There is key combination to fix that on my Samsung DLP. I hope to never set and thus have to remove it. I recommend AVSforum.com and for you to find the thread on your model. Vivid is a good word as is showroom to use to search. You might try Google with KDL... and those words to search but the board is better. First check how many responses before reading all, it can run to hundreds of pages and they have their own search engine.
