Question about Electrolux Epic 6500 Vacuum
My 6500 starts and then stops after a second or two. The bag is new and there are no obstructions in the hose. The light that has an F is on. I assume this is a temperature sensor indicator, but the motor doesn't run long enough to get hot.
Does this mean the motor needs to be replaced?
I WANT TO THANK THE PERSON THAT POSTED ON MARCH 25 2008 ABOUT THE PROBLEM HE OR SHE HAD ABOUT THE HOLE THE SIZE OF A PIECE OF PENCIL LEAD IN THE PLASTIC LINING FOR THE BAG. WOW!! I ALSO PUT A PIECE OF TAPE OVER IT AND IT NEVER RAN BETTER! I WOULD LIKE TO PERSONLY THANK THEM!! MY EMAIL IS.. email@example.com

Check the air filter which is at the air output (blower) part of the canister, under the part where the attachments are stored. Also, I know how to disassemble, but the air filter is the likely problem.
