Question about Samsung DLP HL-P4663W 46" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Own a Samsung DLP TV (model HL-5675s) and a few white dots began appearing on the screen about two weeks ago. Now there are about 100 dots on the left side of the screen. TV is about 1 /2 years old.
It seems you might have an issue with the dmd board. Go to the menu, and if the dots still show on the menu, the issue definitely is with the dmd board but if they don't come up on the menu, the issue will be with the video board.

I guess we were all conned--DLP tv are great--only have to replace the bulb every few years and you will have a new picture that is good as new. Samsung DMD chip and boards are failing by the hundreds. Samsung has stopped making DLP units. They replace certain boards in a secret modle code. They will only say yours is out of warranty and your modle number is not in the replacement group.
GIVE IT UP we were all conned. NEVER have another samsung product. I had to work on the thing twice during the first week--NOW--just spend and spend--IF I knew now what would happen in the past 3-month--I would have made a GOODWILL Donation for my tax return and hope I was not struck by lightening.
