Question about LG RU-42PX11 42 in. EDTV-Ready Plasma Television
The TV will automatically change inputs and then the volume increases on its own to level 100. I can then change the input and volume manually from the TV, but after 10 minutes or so, it does the same thing all over again. Please help!!?
The only simple thing you can do is to check the manual buttons on the set for any sticking. When pressing a button down you can feel the detent.(click) When releasing the button it should raise up freely. Sometimes while cleaning the cabinet moisture gets on the switch assembly under the buttons causing random activity. I have experienced three common causes for your problem. 1 sticking buttons 2 defective switch assembly. The assembly can be unplugged from the circuit to see if the problem goes away. 3 a problem with the microprocessor that controls the functions.( requires a qualified tech to repair
) hope this helps
