I have found the answer! it is the detergent drawer and it is loose which doesn't cause a seal for the water to go into the drum.... if you hold the drawer all is well. this may not happen all the time as if it is in there tight the problem is solved. hope this helps.
if anyone has any ideas as to how to maintain a tight seal plz help b/c as of right now it is tape or me holding it

I have the same problem. The leak does not happen every time. Why is that? Why LG can't give us an explanation since this problem is commonly found and causes annoyance to the users.

I have been having the same problem. I took the back panel off, looked inside. Like another post stated it is coming out at the top from a vent. When I looked in the vent I see the soap. This has happened to me several times. The first time I cleaned out the drain pump filter and it still happens. I hope their is a fix.

This is not a solution but I am another person who has had the same issue. I have spoken to LG and the place of purchase all of whom will not replace machine after 6 more attemps of fixing it.
To anyone with this issue who raises the complaint to LG I wish you luck with a resolution.

I guessing that it may actually be leaking out of the vent near the top in the back, just under the water supply hoses. Too much detergent or a combination of that and a restricted drain may be the cause. The first spin cycle is when you may catch it doing that. I too was puzzled by this exact same symptom. Best of Luck!

We have had the same problem as you. Leaking underneath but not every time. Sometimes big puddles and sometimes small. We have had the service people come out 7 times now. We have been told that if they come out for the same problem 3 times and cannot find the solution you can ask for it to be replaced (
Sears)

Hope you find this helpful - mind just leaked again so I am asking for a replacement. Good Luch

According to service manual, the drain motor is at the front, but the hose drains out the back. Possibly a leak in the drain hose?
Manual is at:

My LG front loader is washer leaking water.

Could be the bladder from the drum to the door of the door seal. It could also be the drain pump hose.

Usually with this situation its a pump leaking, does it leak mostly during use.if you lean appliance back, should be able to take a peak underneath at pump. will just need to be replaced if leaking.

Leaking water from underneath towards the right side.

The pad is an insulation pad to keep heat in the washer. It might be worth pulling the washer out and checking the water feed and drain connections - it's a good bet one of these is leaking.

Suds leaking from back of washer near top

Suds are not supposed to leak from the top; means you are not using the right detergent. Use front loading powders. You can open up the top during next wash to locate where the leak is coming from (after changing powder). I understand suds appear in the window during spin....but leak? Caution when machine works with top open!

rate if helped pl........

LG WD-8016C Front Load Washer leaks from the bottom

Crawls, usually all leaks are visible. Im surprised the repairman did not actually get to the source of it. Your drain pump sits on the bottom and it possibly could be the filter cap, hoses to the pump or pump itself. Another area to check is the despensor. There are a number of hoses to this which could be leaking. The bellow itself could have a cut in it somewhere along the bottom. I would call the repairman back and have him at least get to the source of the leak...Catriver..post back.
