Problem with upper cabinent of Maytag Drying Center.

I have the Maytag Neptune Drying Center and have a problem. The lower unit works fine, but the upper cabinet is not working right. All the conrols light up but the unit is not drying clothes. The display came up with a PF notice (power failure). We have restarted it and the timer counts down the time, but the unit is not working. Help.

I have the same problem. The display states PF and clicks when you hit the on button. Unplugging the unit did not help. Maybe it is the motherboard. If you have severe weather, how do you protect this in the future? The fuse box I would think would be enough to protect it. Please help.

Ihave put a new relay board in now the bottom dryer works but the blower motor for the upper unit will not come on.Is there a a fuse that works that motor and where is it

The bottom unit works fine, but the upper cabinet wont heat up and dry the clothes. It goes thru the entire cycle, but never gets warm or steams or dries the clothes. I assumed that the upper unit used the heating function thru the bottom unit because there isnt a separate heating element or motor or blower or anything for the upper cabinet.

I'm having a totally different problem with my dryer. The indicator lights for the lower dryer unit have stopped working. The only lights that work are the time. I went online to find a parts list but it doesn't list the lights. Are they part of the console w/membrane pad?

Mine did same thing within warranty. There is a motherboard problem in them that is cause by power surge during an eletrical storm. First try unplugging for 10 minutes and see if it resets. If that doesn't work, you need to have the motherboard replaced that runs the unit.

Repair man took the front off my unit and replaced entire motherboard. He stated that it was a known issue with that motherboard. I have had no problems since my motherboard was replaced 18 months ago.

Maytag Neptune DC Model# MCE8000AYW leaks water from the right side of drying center unit while using the "Wrinkle Release Hanging Dry Only" feature. The leak happens during the steam portion of the cycle....

Stop using the water bottle because the water is overflowing the heater steamer pan and will short the heating element and the part is no longer avaliable and the top will stop drying.
