Most of the documentation for the Sony CyberShot DSC-W50 is available on the product support page: https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=DSCW50&template_id=1®ion_id=1&tab=manuals#/manualsTab . Make sure to look at the Manuals tab. Scroll down for the User Guide. The direct link to the manual appeared as https://docs.sony.com/release//DSCW30-W40-W50-W70.pdf in my browser history.
One guy with the same problem fixed it by running over it with his SVU and posting the video on Youtube. It's smashed but "access" has disappeared from the screen.
Hi!
It's probably stuck focus. Contact your local Sony service center, but
if they ask too much, you can contact me at [email protected]
and I will give you a good price.
I work in Sony service center.
hi there
turn on
gently hold end of lense and twist and pull gently you may hear a click dont force it
turn off and on again and the problem should be solved
Some problem in the lens system. Try to either push in the lens more, or pull on it, if the lens is out at all. If it continues, sell it for parts, as is on a site such as Ebay.
I had the same problem with my DSC-W55. I actually just called the customer service number on the sony website and they told me how to solve the problem.
- Take your battery out
- Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds
- Re enter your battery
- Voila.. it should work when you turn it on. Mine did.
i have the access problem where it tells me to turn off and on again and again. dsc w55
thanks
royston
