When i make a call from my W910 the person on the other end cannot hear me at all. Using handsfree in my car it works perfectly ok

Kindly Using your Sound Recorder function in the phone try to record a sound and listen. If its nothing then the in-built microphone is dead. If you can hear the recording then there is some malfunctioning in the Firmware of the phone. Get it serviced. Its not a big deal.

Skype is telecommunications software allowing for several functions amongst telephony, messaging and voice recording. Once installed on a computer, skype requires compartibity checks either as an internet capacity to acquire media to media between devices. Usually, skype should not malfunction. The player wont record. All other functions fine including playback and finalising.

You mean it records silence? if it finalises then it does recognise and burn to the disc- so the laser/drive seems to be ok..

If silence, bear in mind there are analogue, optical and coax digital inputs to chose from for record source

Don't forget too these units need the special CD-R audio discs not CD-Rs to record to.

Handycam CCD TR517 Doesn't record

These models have a switch for 3 different modes of record. one where you press the red button once, one for having to hold the red button in and a 5 second record feature, check this mode. also check and make sure the tape you are using did not have the record save switch slid into record save position..

The remote can perform some functions but not others - left and up arrows work occasionally. Makes it hard to program or to delete, or even scroll.

try opening your remote.clean it with alcohol and soft cloth.let it dry.while drying, check the rubber buttons for breakage.assemble and test all.

What does Check record tab mean?

the term "tab" are used for sometime for "switch" and "button". So from general information, I think the camcorder has some kind of switch malfunction. Usually record button (toggles on and off) may be the problem if all other functions in PLAY mode is working. Also you may have "protective record tap" on tape may be changed. Hope this helps. -james

RECORDING LEVEL IS NOW INOP

Wide open as in you cannot control the gain? If so I would suggest controling it from your mixer using a second zone or record out.

Choppy recording and playback

If the heads become dirty, “NEED HEAD
CLEANING” appears during recording. During
playback, moreover, the following symptoms
appear.
≥Mosaic-like noise appears partially or the
sound is interrupted.
≥Black or blue mosaic-like horizontal stripes
appear.

When normal playback cannot be performed
even after the head cleaning
One possible cause is that normal recording
could not be performed because the heads were
dirty at the time of recording. Clean the heads,
and perform recording and playback again. If
normal playback can be performed, the heads are
clean. Before an important recording, be sure to
conduct a test recording to make sure that normal
recording can be performed.
≥If the heads become dirty soon after cleaning,
the problem may be the tape. If so, try another
cassette.
≥During playback, the picture or sound may be
interrupted momentarily, but this is not a
malfunction of the Camcorder. (One possible
cause is that the playback is interrupted by dirt
or dust that momentarily adheres to the heads.)
