This keeps coming up on our school copier. The service guys fix it, then a day or two later, it comes up again. Is this something that I (as the media specialist) can fix, instead of calling our service provider constantly to come out and repair??
Hello. Begin with a call to your business office and find out if that copier is under a service contract where service calls are free OR if the tech. bills for every visit. After you find out that piece of information you can decide whether or not you want to add this to your laundry list of "extra jobs".
The next time the service guy shows up ask the secretary to let you know. Then introduce yourself and develop a friendship with the guy. You may both benefit from a relationship where you could call him and he could talk you through some of the minor tweeks these machines require. Good luck.

The following message is on the display as well: "Turn the main power switch (on the main units right side) on & off again" I am unable to activate any of the buttons on the panel, not even the "on/off" button. The switch will turn if off though, but the message keeps repeating itself after the machine warms up.
