6120 - can't sync phone. it says i need updated

Hi,
You need to make sure that youre phone is connected to your PC via sync ( You need to install the htc driver on your PC and connect your phone using the appropriate cable) If this is done already you can manage to transfer all files from your PC to your Phone or vice versa.
Now if there is an error message in transferring files from PC to your phone you need to update the version of your sync.

just try this

1) Downlaod the nokia Sowtware Updater and PC Suite
2) connect your phone useing cable
3) Update your software using nokia Software updater


it will reset all settings and passwords to defaults

MAke sure abour your date

You will need to configure MMS manually For china mobiles manuals, software and drivers check chinamanuals.com (search for your model or just ask them) - they have a N95 manual with provider settings!

this is an updater format it will update your phone to new stuff you have to sync to the computer.

Please let me know what do you mean by update fails.. Does it show any error messages? Please let me know so that I can see you through this.

update your software with nokia pc suite software updater

do not consult a technicition i have had this problem and solved it for my friend, you were trying to update your n95 firmware using nokia software updater then it said please unplug and remove battery you should never touch a mobile during an update... anyway to fix it your n95 thinks its still in a middle of the update so charge your phone for 10 minutes (DONT TURN ON) then connect up to the computer via usb to your n95 then open up software updater and press start update it it says could not find deivce keep retrying it took me 20 minutes but could last up to 1 hour then it willl recognise the phone and continue update and turn itself back on only problem is that your phone will be reset but you still keep your memory card data

They have the relevant drivers and even a China mobile PC sync suite.

First download & install latest version of PC Suite ( visit http://europe.nokia.com/A4144905 ) then plug your N95 into a USB port.. If you want to transfer files select Mass Storage on your phone and if you would like to sync it select PC suite mode...
