Your monitor has probibly suffered a power surge at some stage those vertical lines are (kind of) dead pixles.
What it actualy is is the controler chip in teh monitor is slightly cooked sending the wrong voltage to that row of pixles, hence you get teh wrong colors displayed and they can vary in strength depending on what your looking at at the time.
I am sorry to say that the only solution is a new screen most warrantys dont cover that type of problem, and you can only guess what i think about that attitude some companys take.
