Hi someone borrowed my Route 66 Sat Nav and returned it without the memory card!! Does anyone know where I can get a new card instead of just getting a new nav
Get the SD card for any comuter store, and after you have to install the nav software on it, which for some information regarding the unit I will sell it to you for a rezonable price

Have you tried here? http://www.66.com/rac/ evrything I have found points to the route 66 sync file. Here is what I pulled from the Halfords website under the RAC 5000 Sat Nav - UK & ROI product description.
Updates & downloads
All updates are done via the Route66 Home Sync. The dedicated RAC page is at www.66.com/rac To use the home sync it may be necessary to download the relevant 'driver' for PC or laptop. All drivers are easy to download from www.microsoft.com
The Home Sync section of the quick start guide explains this procedure.
hi is there anyone out there can tell me how to reformat my memory card for my RAC sat nav 200 gps. Only tried to run the software that comes with it ,but cant seem to see anywhere to download new and update the card. Thanks from neil. [email protected]
Hi, this comes very late - just surfed inn - but may be help to someone. To reload R66 from your cd/dvd don'tdownload it, follow these steps in stead: 1. Insert the memory card into the memory card reader/writer. 2. Format your memory card in FAT (not FAT32). 3. Insert the CD/DVD into the DVD drive. Select 'Browse Contents' in opened Route66 window. 4. Select and open 'MemoryImage' 5. Select the folder 'R66' and copy it to the formatted memory card. 6. Remove the memory card from the memory card reader/writer and insert it into the Nokia 330 device. Now it should work, at least worked for me.
Get the update for Mini/Maxi route 66 from 183 Mb. Install this with card reader on the the SD card.
Then ,having the same problem, Route 66 will start up as usual.
Try updating your Route66 with the latest edition of the PND software from the R66 support website -http://www.66.com/support/index.php?cid=UK&opt=updates - This will reset the sat nav to how it was when it left the factory but you will loose your favourites and history in the process. See the website for more details.
i wish to register my new sat nav
