- I have re-read your question, and basically, like me, you dislike Vista and want to replace it with windows XP. Non? You have a Vista 32-bit, and you want to know how to get the drivers you need in order to wipe your disk clean of Vista, and install XP. So, you need to know all of the hardware in your machine in order to find out whether XP drivers are available. Given that the LG 500 worked before with XP, it is likely that you can do it. I checked out the LG website, and the only preinstalled software they list is LG SmartCam, and SCM (system control manager). Other sofware presumably from them is Power2Go, Recovery Center, LG Intelligent Update (Norton Anti-Virus, Drivers, Applications, Easy Manual and Easy trouble shooting Guide).
The kicker: " Product specifications and features including software may differ depending on models and countries and are subject to change without notification." You can find out everything in your computer by looking at the "Easy Manual", but the easiest way to see what hardware and software you have is to download a free, marvelous program called Belarc Advisor. Then you will know exactly what you have, and most likely you can download all the drivers free for XP from LG in France. Speak to their support, and find out from LG if any hardware is not compatible. It probably is. So many people hate Vista, they likely will know exactly what to do. If their representative seems ignorant, or unhelpful, demand to speak to a supervisor. You bought it, and you deserve their support under your warranty.
