my problems on my le32r51bd started on the xbox360 red green blue input with a small line white line about 6 inchs down on the right hand side, that then cleared up . But i found for no reason when i turned the tv on one morning the menu wasnt visable anymore although you could see it was still there behind a load of horizontal white lines that cover the menu and do not flicker like the ones that now cover the whole screen on all inputs, but you get a glimps of a clear pic when changing inputs, the problem always seems worse when the tv is turned on and get about 80% better over the course of about 3 hours, but there is no change to the menu and is still not visable.. im very disapointed by this product as ive taken excellent care of it and it seem to of started to play up just after the 1 year warrenty.. hope you can help , if you have any auto electrical problems please email me id be happy to help.

all the best from not a happy chap

I have been having the same problem. It started as constant white dots obscuring the menu but as you hardly use the menu I left it. Then I had a row of white dots 5 dots high all the way across the screen about two thirds of the way up. This only happened on Ext1 and Ext 2. I tried 3 different Scart and A/V cables in ALL the possible connections in the back and still I got the dots. This has gradually got worse and I now have a screen full of flashing dots. With it being out of Warranty (18 month old) I have been referred to a company to repair it.
Estimated cost £263.37 inc VAT  Diagnosis: Needs a new PCB board Time to fix: 1 week
I shall update once I know more/final cost, on Wednesday.
In future I shall be taking the extended warranty out. :o(

Hi, Mary with Dish Network Customer Service. I had this issue with my TV as well. You will need to turn the TV volume up and the cable volume down. The opposite way from how you have it now. This should resolve your issue.

Excessive noise in my speakers

usually, it is background noise. Scratchy background noise. Gets worse the louder I turn up the volume. I ran a test on all the channels and it seemed to be the subwoofer channel. I've unpluged the subwoofer but that didn't help. I have also noticed that my receiver doesn't turn up nearly as loud as it used. I usually watch DVDs at a volume level of about 15 on my Denon and that's quite loud. But now, 15 isn't that loud at all. I went to Best Buy where I bought all of this equipment and they immediatly told me it was suge protector issue and wanted to sell me a high-end surge protector. Perhaps they are right but not sure why it began rather suddenly. Probably not helping you much.

Colored dotted lines across the screen

If you understand the components of a computer pretty well, open the case and remove and reseat the graphics card into the slot.

Does it seem to only do it after so long, for example turn the computer of for a few hours, and it wont happen when its first turned on, but then a few moments later it starts after its warmed up?
If this does not resolve the issue, you may be experiencing graphic artifacts which can occur when a gpu is overheating due to a poor cooler. Check to make sure the heatsink is touching the gpu.

Xbox 360 flickers across screen

it is your av cable however the components in the cable get a small static boost when u are using your controller so it becomes an intermittent fault ie;....when in game vidios or watching dvds, u rarely use the controller so u dont see the flickering and u only see it when in game play because u are in constant contact with the controlls and the components inside the av cable recieve a small static boost causing the interference.

I have a philips Matchline tv (29pt6361/79r) the tv works fine except it automatically turns the volume down without any buttons on the remote or tv being pushed

well depends on how far it turns the volume down as to what the cause is and if the volume bar on screen display comes on when the vol. goes down. if it just goes down a little you probably have the "smart sound" setting turned on in the audio menu turn it off and see if prob. goes away. if the vol. bar comes on the screen whenever the vol. goes down the you most likely have a bad button on your front panel and it doesn't have to be the vol. down button. it you think it is the button it would need solder work to be changed most likely shop job.

Might be a loose connection to your screen and motherboard.

I have the somewhat same issue with my Dell Inspiron 15, It's a touch-screen laptop and whenever you jerk the screen it'll either Freeze in like colored bars, or it will change colors. Both of which are annoying.

If anything, it may be a loose connection.
