Bose lifestyles v28 plays dvds in black and white

When i try to play a dvd on my bose lifestyles v28 system, it will only play in black and white. I've tried adjusting the cables, reseting, and cleaning the dvd as well as trying another dvd, but nothing works. Any other suggestions?
