Question about TV Receivers & DVRs

1 Answer

Wharfedale DV832B Hello there, Please can you help, our freeview box works great except for the fact that twice per day, at 11.00am and approx 15.00pm the box switches itself off, ie clock and everything goes off and interupts viewing for approx 20 to 30 seconds. Is this common or a fault on our box.It is not a case of the mains power going off as all tv etc stay on. Any ideas please, Thanks Barrie Tait 07913924024

Code for wharfedale dv823b

The codes come from your all-in-one remote control manufacturer. Check the manual or download a code from your remote manufacturer's site.

There may not be a code. Some remotes have a "guess" mode where you simply press "code", point the remote at the device, then scroll up or down using the "channel" button until the unit powers on or off. The remote will memorize the code after you select which device on the remote itself you wish to marry that code to.

Freeview box (Duraband)

Hi Sandra , it could be poor signal ,worth trying another box on your aerial , also the aerial lead could cause this even the one from the wall plate to the Freeview box ,if your analogue picture is snowy then I would suspect the aerial have you looked for a signal strength meter in the menu , might show how good the signal is
hope this helps
cheers John
