There is no way to do this. One controls flow by the pressure of the tamp, and fineness of the grind. 2.25 ounces or espresso in 20 seconds from 14 grams of coffee.

When I press the espresso button instead of esspreso makes a long coffe .I must ad I descaled it yesterday .

You may have accidentally changed the amount setting for your espresso shot when resetting the descale counter.

If you lost the manual you can find one here.
http://www.gaggia-usa.com/support_docs/Gaggia_Brera_Quickstart_Guide.pdf

On page 11 (with the printed number 31) you find how to change these settings:

• Place a cup under the dispensing spout.
• Hold the "espresso size" button pressed for 5 seconds to enter the programming mode; the "coffee" icon will blink quickly and the coffee will start to be brewed; the icon will flash during the whole coffee brewing cycle.
• Press the same "espresso size" button again when the amount of coffee in the cup reaches the desired level.
At this point the button "espresso size" is programmed; each time it is pressed and released, the machine will brew the same amount of coffee that was just programmed.
The same operation can be repeated for the "Lungo size" button.

Gaggia Titanium - the button for a small coffee has stopped working. Can I do anything to fix it?

Hi Try reprogramming the machine. Push and hold the button for the coffee you want, but hold it all the way through the process. Don't release the button until you get the amount of coffee you want for that button, then release the button. That should get you the same amount next time. You can do this for each coffee button. If that didn't fix it you might have a bad flow meter.

I get lots of watered down coffee. It brews 3/4 cup but it is so watered down. We have descaled etc. I want a thick expresso like taste. This is on a large cup setting Help?>

HI
When you run a lot of water through just a little coffee it gets water down. Try making 2 meduim cups instead. When they make espresso its 1 tablespoon to 1 oz of water. Your running 6 oz of water through the same amount of coffee, and its going to be weak. Program you buttons for 2 shots to fill your cup and it will be pretty strong.

When we push the option Large Coffee instead of giving us a large cup it gives us a small cup and strong. We push the small coffee and also get a small cup. What can we do to fix it?

HI
It needs to be reprogramed. If some one holds a coffee button down to long it will reset itself back to small coffee.
Push and hold the button for the coffee you want, but hold it all the way through the process. Don't release the button until you get the amount of coffee you want for that button, then release the button. That should get you the same amount next time. You can do this for each coffee button.
If that doesn't fix it, then you might need a new flow meter.

Coffee seems stronger than normal.....maybe problem with water flow??

If you are getting the same amount of coffee with the same button there is nothing wrong with the flow. You could have changed you grind setting or your dosseing amount. Have you cleaned you brew unit?

No coffe in the cup

Hi
I would say you have a stripped thumb screw. It is in the top left side of the brew unit and holds the filter screen in. If it is stripped there will be water or coffee in the pocket on top left of the brew unit.
