Generic problem for all Dishwashers

Hotpoint dishwasher. Is the timer out?

Had a call on Hotpoint dishwasher. I cycled it through the wash cycle for 1.5 minutes. Then a drain cycle for 1 minute. Then it went into fill cylce. Everything checked out. The customers says it sticks and never fills with water. I think maybe the timer is stuck or needs replaced. I cleaned it and told then to keep using it. And to call if anymore problems.

- I checked the float and took apart the float assembly. Cleaned and put back together. Then I cycled the unit with some acid to remove any hard water. I cycled it a few more times with no problems. Just thinking either it just needed cleaning or timer may be malfunctioning.

maybe the float is sticking. did you check the float switch?
