Refrigerator is freezing food and liquids with the controls set to their lowest setting.

This could be caused by a defective=> WR60X10052 Damper Control Assembly or could be caused by a defective fresh food thermister=> WR55X10027 Thermistor or WR55X10027 Thermistor. Ice maker not dispensing ice on a GE model# GSS25LGMA WW

Try first by fill ice maker with tap water, turn on and let freeze. If Ice drops then the dual water control valve needs replaced. If the ice maker being electronic does nothing it will need to be replaced. I have a GE Refigerator (PSF26MGWA WW). the ice maker will not fill up with water. The tray heats up and the sweeper works. The fill solenoid for the ice maker does not work properly.The drinking water...

the ice maker is in control of the valve, however, the valve is one assembly containing the valve for the water dispenser and the one for the ice maker, take your model to the appliance parts store and get you a water valve assembly for your model number.

GE Frig model TFX20JRBK ww with icing on freezer

I would suggest fixing it . You only have 2 parts in the defrost system . A timer , and the defrost heater which comes with the bimetal , pt . # WR51X10031 .Most probable , is the defrost heater . You will need to remove the rear inside freezer panel , and defrost the coils with a hair dryer . After defrosting , 2 screws hold each ( 2 ) heater on , ant the defrost thermostat , just clips onto the top of the coils .

The problem is most likely the water control valve on the rear of your refrigerator. You can test the ice maker by filling with water and let freeze. If ice dumps then the water valve must be replaced. Your model has 3 different choices of water control valves. If the ice maker does nothing but freeze the water and not cycle or dump the ice then I would say the thermostat inside the ice maker is defective. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Sorry I came back late for the answer to your question. I looked for parts with 3 different companies and noone sells the parts for your ice maker. I'm not sure but the front section may have an electronic control board. The part number is WR30X10093
