Question about Canon NP 7130 Black and White Copier

NP7130 drum problem

I bought a Canon B1 ( 1337A003AA ) drum and put it in my NP7130 copier. All I got are nearly blank copies. The seller and many other web sites indicated that this drum is compatible with NP7130 copiers. I am puzzled. Should I get the 1337A002AA drum specially marked for NP7130 instead? There is nothing wrong with the copier as my own drum works, albeit with vertical streaks in the copy.

Is there anything I can do it make use of the B1 drum I bought.

Thanks

Hi im jules_09,you should not use compatible consumables for the copier sometime np7130 copier are nasty specially with opc drum,if the copy is blnk the problem is in the high voltage unit or in the transfer unit and drum charge unit you might have the wrong process replacing the drum.re install the drum then try it again .

Canon 7130 black and white copier. It looks like it is scanning but blank pages come out. I changed the toner and nothing. There are no alarms. also can this machine still be bought?

**** open the copier to see if the developer has fallen away from the drum unit or is the tab below where the toner is put in out of place. Sometimes, if out of place, when the copier closed shut the arm is moved to the right side of the post ( located on the lower half of the copier ) and move the developer away from the drum unit and produces light copiers or even blank copies.

White line and very, very dirty copies

the nealy black copies sounds like the drum is going, try adjusting the exposure to light, if it comes out with the whole page the same way but just lighter than change drum. White line sounds like there is something on the coronas.

Black Copies

It could be a bad voltage board, which is not supplying enough power to the lamp.

Canon NP7130 copier

Make sure that the black plastic arm just to the right of the gray drum release handle is in the proper position. This arm sometimes gets knocked out of position when engaging the tube of new toner. When the copier is clammed closed, this will sometimes come down on the right side of the post on the bottom front cover. This will move the developer far enough away from the drum to make blank copies. Hope this helps.
