Re: andis master clippers

Yeah bro.....just take off the top blade off the slider. Then you will see four screws on the slider, just tighten up each screw. The tighter you want the leveler, the harder you screw, be careful because they are easy to strip....that it, good as new....

My adjuster on my clippers wont stay still, everytime i cut on the clipper the adjuster on the side wiggles and moves to the do i fix this

Take the upper blade off of the clipper, there will be four (4) screws which secure the adjustable part of the lever to the clipper. You can tighten these screws and that will control how much resistance you get when adjusting the lever.

Brand new blades #10 in perticular leave stripes

hi, new blades are not the answer try replacing the blade drive assembly which is located at the drive end of the clipper and goes from side to side, as the clippers are used this part will gradually wear in width thus not moving the cutter far enough to complete a cut this will produce snagging in smaller blades and tram lines in larger blades like 7, 5, 4 and 3's. All Clipper Parts are available for these clipper repairs.

My level adjuster is loose. When I go to cut it moves. How do I fix it?

Remove the stationary blade from the clipper by removing the two Phillips screws. When you lift it away you will see the plate that slides when you move the lever. Beside it are 4 smaller Phillips screws, two on either side. Tighten these very, very slightly. Repeat, very slightly until you achieve a stiffer lever action taht is comfortable to you. Replace the stationary blade with a drop of oil and properly align it. You're ready to go.

You probably need a new blade drive, which is easily replaced yourself, if you are so inclined.

My GTO model Andis clippers blade is not properly do I adjust it?

The problem with Andis clippers is that you are not told how to get the most effective job out of you're clippers,i can attest to that because i've repaired and adjusted hundreds of them, every user wants a crisp cut, nothing less, you want find the answer to that in the instructions,so you're encouraged to send the clipper back to Andis company,i did that once just to see if they really understand their own tool, the clipper cut no better upon it's return,it was then that i discoverer the ultimate solution, blades has to be precise, only then will you get a crisp cut,for any type of hair ,so before you get rid of blades, remember 85% of the time the problem is with the adjustment of the blade.

Turn the clipper on and with a screwdriver turn the screw on the side all the way clockwise. Next slowly turn the screw back the opposite direction until the clippers are running at a normal sound level. If this does not work you will need to send the unit in for an internal adjustment. Please call the Andis customer service department at 1-800-558-9441 for further instruction.

Thank you for choosing Andis.
