Music Essentials Issue

I recently got my music essentials package, and I'm unable to load it onto my laptop;I'm guessing because I have vista on it. So I tried another computer, and it gets almost all the way finished and then stops saying that media player is not compatible. It tells me I have to have MEdia Player10 but I have 11, do I have to go back to 10 in order for this to work?

Re: Music Essentials Issue

The easiest solution would be to revert back to WMP10.......This solution worked for me personally

I just bought a memory card for my LG EnV & it came with two adapters. how do you put music from your computer onto your EnV?

You can use it in a printer that takes memory cards but you cannot download a lot of songs that way. The best thing to do is buy a music essentials kit. If you have a 512 mb card, you can get at least 100 songs.

MTP Device Searching Preconfigured Driver Folders

I was having this problem as well, but solved it.
I, like others decided to just buy a USB cable for my VX9900 and use Windows Media Player for sync'ing. (I also have the Verizon Essentials program that I downloaded, but I like WMP better. No particular reason).
I was getting the installation messages and as soon as the MTP message came up, I got the "problem" message and it didn't sync.
What I did when I got the cable was to run the CD drivers that came with my cable. That may have been my mistake. I was bothered that the date of my driver was in 2005 since the phone came out late in 2006. So I looked at the name of the driver and it was something like C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\ whatever... I went to my device manager and uninstalled the driver. I went to the C:\Program Files\ and deleted the LG USBDrivers folder. I went to the Windows/system32/drivers folder and there were three LG*.* files I deleted them. The next time I plugged the phone in and set it to sync, it worked. It's late and night and I may not have typed this really clearly, so feel free to contact me at bill (at) (because a half a mind is still a terrible thing to waste).

Sync Manager Problme with Vista with LG CU500

The problem is a driver issue. It is strictly a LG/Verizon problem, and not Windows. What you should is hook up your phone your computer LG USB cable and using the Music Essentials CD-ROM.

Install the latest version of BitPim where  you can find at .
"I hooked up my phone to my computer via the USB cable, and opened BitPim. Much to my dismay, bitpim did not find the COM for the LG Modem".

However, Vista popped up the window in the taskbar telling me that new hardware was detected but could not be installed. I went to Start > Search > Device Manager
Once the Device Manager is opened up, you should see an unknown hardware profile for the USB cable/phone. In my case, Vista seemed to recognize the fact that it was a LG USB Modem, but didn't have the driver. Anyway, right click on the unknown driver and select "update driver software." Surprisingly, Vista will tell you it found a driver. Unfortunately, when when you go to install the driver 2 new unknown drivers will appear.

To fix the 2 unknown drivers, all you have to do is insert the VCAST Music Essentials disk into your disk drive, and point Windows in the direction of the files for the drivers on the VCast Music Essentials CD (in my case, the D: drive).

Windows finished the install, and from their BitPim recognized the cable on COM5.
That should work.
