Hi Lando,

Your Sub box gets its signal from the PReamp output. This means your problem stems from the CQ-C9700U amplifier section. You may need service from Panasonic on this one, or a new Head unit. I cannot think of any adjustment that you can do to eliminate a skip sound.

Why does my Pioneer DEH_150MP skip when it's playing cds, aux, and radio at a certain volume?

It can't skip on radio. I would theorize if you have a heavy bass system you either have a loose connection or the faceplate contacts are not good and vibrations are causing a temporary loss in connectuon. The other option would be a speaker that is shorting at a specific volume. The short is causing the internal amp to shut done (until the short is gone) to protect itself. Disconnect all speakers and connect just one until the problem returns. This way you can eliminate which speakers are good. Also make sure the ohms f your speakers are within tolerance of the radio...no lower than 4 ohms each.

Volume goes up by itself

First, check your software firmware version and see if there is an update. If available read your manual how to do a firmware update using your USB port, if you don't have a manual, check Bose.com for their online manual and firmware updates. I had a different problem but the firmware update solved it. Another tip to increase the depth of your bass, while doing the adaptiq process, cover your bass speaker with a pillow, this will make your bass more deeper. You need a second person to cover your bass module with a pillow. in this way, the adaptiq process cannot hear the bass sound and it will increase the bass. You might need to do this several times until you get the desired bass sound. If you have not setup using adaptiq, your better off not using adaptiq, the sound is much better. Hope this helps.

It is possible for those bulbs to break from severe impact (the filaments will break before the glass).
What i would do is look in your yellow pages to see who SELLS car audio in your area (There's a million in Phoenix). Find one that's close and preferably one you are familiar with. Call them and ask if they do repairs, and if not if they know who does locally. Most shops usually know these kinds of things, because they get asked all the time.
Also, shops prices vary, so if you get multiple names, call around to see who has the lowest rates, but keep in mind you sometimes get what you pay for!

My shop would usually charge around$45 for that type of repair.

Panasonic C9700U Turns On, Works but NO BACKLIGHT

It sounds like the mini-bulbs burnt out. Any good repair shop will have them in stock and it shouldn't cost too much. We charge around $35-$55 to do it.

Subwoofer Trouble

Turn the bass gain all the way down., Turn up your your volume on bass test song. Crank up the little box next to the steering wheel wide open . Now go gradually turn up the bass gain on the RF amp until you get distortion. Turn the gain down slightly. Now you can enjoy playing the bass from one end of the little boxes setting to the other without ovrloading your amp and subs. Open a can of whoopass on anyone who tries to crank up on your gain.

Volume Does what It wants

My Yahoo YHT-400 does something similar, only it won't do it right away, it has to start getting hot first, then if I have the volume set at 25 or higher, it will slowly start turning itself up louder until it either maxes out, or I intervene. Either way, it's really annoying, even though I'm only using it as an amplifier for my computer. I just figured it was doing it where it's second-hand and had tons of dust inside caked in and around the fans until I cleaned it out. But when on AUX/TV, one would think the Bit Rate Transfer gauge would remain at 00, but it jumps up and down constantly, whether there's any audio being put through it or not.

Sound only coming out through one speaker

Try looking at your volume control connector. I found that 2 of the prongs were smashed down, so I got a tweezer and straightened them back up. As soon as I plugged it back in, the blue light on the volume control appeared (before it wasn't working at all), and the right side speaker worked again, whereas before only the left side had sound coming out of it.
