I have a GoVideo Model DV2150. I'll turn to channel 3 to set-up a timed recording. Later, when the vcr turns on (at the appropriate time) it scrambles the station that I'm currently watching and when I turn to channel 3, it becomes the channel that I had set to record. I did get a response from a "Guru" who was kind enough to explain how to mess with the cables in the back of the machine, but I'm not that tech savvy and had hoped to find an easier solution. Also, when I set the clock, I have to do it on "manual" and the time tends to change a little (a few minutes fast, usually)....I can't use the "auto" clock setting because it'll randomly change the time, date and year.

- Thanks for your help. Well, if that's the case, can you give me some direction on how to change the cables?Aug 20, 2009
- Thanks so much for your quick response! Yes, I'd like to watch one channel while recording on another. It's worked fine since I originally hooked it up, so I don't understand what could have changed, since I haven't touched any of the cables in the back. It would be great if you could direct me as to how to fix the problem without messing with the cables...but, if that's not possible, I'm hoping that you can give me an idiot-proof version of how to change the cables. Thanks again!!Aug 20, 2009
- Hi Tim: Yes, I've always turned to channel 3 to set-up my timed recordings. And, no, nothing has changed in the set-up or programming. I'm really baffled that all of a sudden it won't work.Aug 20, 2009
- I've had it for a few years..it was a gift (I never would have bought it on my own). It's definitely not the best machine I've ever had...actually, no other VCR has ever given me any trouble. But, I have an old t.v. and the newer VCR/DVD players don't work with the old t.v., so I guess I have to invest in a new t.v. and get a new VCR/DVD machine. But, I was wondering if you might be able to give me some advice on messing with the cables...just to see if it helps.
